DESCRIPTION
Carbine On-Ramp is designed for the entry level rifle shooter. The curriculum is designed to establish the absolute base-layer of skills and knowledge, providing a solid foundation to build from. Instruction will heavily focus on safe weapon handling, proper set up, and manipulations. If you have never received formal training with your carbine this is the class for you. Students will learn the prone and standing positions and how to zero their carbine. The curriculum also includes recoil management, presentations, sighting, trigger control, firing, and reloading. Other topics include; equipment and ammunition selection. In Carbine On-Ramp, students will be given all the tools to begin their journey of firearms mastery with proven techniques and attentive coaching. This class provides the basic skills to attend further Ridgeline curriculum.

PREREQUISITE / NEXT COURSE:
Fundamental Skills course. Carbine On-Ramp is a pre-requisite course for new shooters, prior to enrolling in more advanced classes. Ridgeline fundamental skills courses have been designed to lay a strong foundation for core skills with the firearm. These courses provide a high degree of instruction and coaching on basic skills. Safe handling skills, such as vigilant muzzle awareness, being able to safely load, unload and present a carbine will be taught and heavily emphasized. General safe firearms handling is expected of all students. Students should know the value of one “click” of adjustment for their sighting system.
Next Course: Following graduation of this course students should consider Ridgeline’s Combative Carbine course as a next step in their progression.
