DESCRIPTION

“Amateurs train until they get it right, Professionals train until they can’t get it wrong.” With this mantra at its core, we have developed a follow on to our Night Operator course. The Ridgeline Night Operator 2 course provides students with the time and opportunity to hone their craft under augmented vision. Making full use of our facilities infrastructure, the students will be placed into progressively more difficult exercises and events that will allow them to gain true understanding of their (and their equipment’s) capabilities, and limitations.

Students will engage in activities of employing white light, utilizing IR light, lasers and NVD’s in darkness as well as day time/low light courses of fire. Students will engage targets while on the move and from stationary positions, including alternate positions. Strings of fire include paper targets, steel arrays and moving targets. This course utilizes key Ridgeline infrastructure such as elevated window firing positions and our real-world prop line spanned across different ranges to challenge shooters skills and abilities.

PREREQUISITE / NEXT COURSE:

Prerequisite: This course is only open to students that have successfully completed the Ridgeline Night Operator course, or known industry equivalent (Presscheck Consulting, TapRack Tactical, Kinetic Consulting, Greenline Tactical, etc.) This is a Skills Employment course. Ridgeline skills employment courses move well beyond the basics and focus primarily on execution of task and challenging scenarios. These courses provide less step by step instruction on fundamentals, but focus on coaching the shooter to develop skills in challenging real world scenarios that help them understand how fast and accurate they can be in the toughest of situations. This is an expert level course. Expertise with the carbine, pistol and night vision equipment is expected. Understanding day/night fire and white light/no light employment should already be held by the student. General safe firearms handling is expected of all students.

Next Course: If you are not confident in meeting the prerequisites for this course check out our Night Operator course to build the skills necessary to join this class.
