The Ridgeline Defense NRL Hunter Prep Course is designed for experienced shooters looking to transition into competitive precision rifle hunting-style matches, specifically within the NRL Hunter series. This course focuses on the unique skill set required to succeed in this fast-paced, field-based competition environment.
Students will learn how to efficiently locate, range, and engage hidden targets under time constraints while working from a variety of improvised shooting positions. Emphasis is placed on target acquisition, accurate ranging, and building stable shooting solutions using natural terrain.
In addition to marksmanship and positional shooting, the course covers critical match preparation topics including optimal gear setup, rifle and optic configuration, pack organization, and equipment management tailored to NRL Hunter standards. Students will also gain a clear understanding of how NRL Hunter matches are structured, including stage flow, scoring, and rules.
Team dynamics are a key component of success in the Team Division of NRL Hunter. This course explores effective communication, spotter/shooter roles, time management, and strategies for maximizing team performance under pressure.
By the end of the course, participants will have the knowledge, confidence, and practical experience necessary to compete effectively in an NRL Hunter match environment.
